Christmas gifts for friends
We had a really wonderful time making alphabet crazy crayons for our friends this year!
Didn't they turn out well? We've made good use of our silicone alphabet molds! The kids are all having a great time drawing and playing with them :)

Working on motor skills
I printed these tickets out today to get him excited about using the hole punch. He loves them, of course.
Counting practice
If you're going to have counting practice you might as well make it pretty!

He did a great job!

Toys for Tots
We had our big benefit concert last weekend and collected a truck full of toys to donate to Toys for Tots. This morning, the Chipmunk and I took them in to the drop box. I was so proud of him... He helped to load the truck and did more than his part to help unload when we got there.

Messy clean science
We had a whole day of science experiments the other day and had a whole lot of fun!
First we decided to see what happens when to put a bar of soap in the microwave. The water in the soap heats up and turns to vapor and the heated air expands till it looks like this.

It was fun to look for a air in the soap and see what it felt like... and of course, it was fun to throw!!

After that, we talked about reactions and how sometimes two things can come together to make something totally new and different. He made a hypothesis (an idea you can test, of course!) about what would happen when we put colored vinegar into baking soda. He remembered from last time that it would bubble and it sure did!
Of course everything is more fun if you get your hands in it :)
Later on, he wanted to add the soap to his concoction, so we made another guess about what would happen and dove right in.
Hooray for a clean mess!
