Letter C

We've been making our way through the alphabet again, with a little more detail this time.

Yesterday we:

Counted Copper Coins and sorted out the different types of Currency!

We used our new letter tiles to spell out a few words and then it was time to do or science experiment.

Salt dissolves into vinegar when you stir it

And it makes all of your pennies clean and shiny!!

Fun in the dark

We've had a few gray days around here lately and it's tough sometimes finding ways to make the best of them.  This idea, however, has been a winner!

I found a small waterproof LED light in the floral section of Walmart not too long ago and we decided to see what it looked like tucked down into a tub full of funny balls (water beads)

It looks pretty cool!

Because the beads are translucent, it made them all glow and change color as the light changed.

This was good for at least an hour of scooping, pouring, rolling, squishing, and throwing!

Christmas gifts for friends

We had a really wonderful time making alphabet crazy crayons for our friends this year!

Didn't they turn out  well?  We've made good use of our silicone alphabet molds!  The kids are all having a great time drawing and playing with them :)

I printed these tickets out today to get him excited about using the hole punch. He loves them, of course. DSC_7074.jpg

If you're going to have counting practice you might as well make it pretty!

Concentration is essential :)

He did a great job!
